Welcome to the Smithfield-Luter Foundation website. Here you will find an overview of the Foundation, information about our different college scholarship programs and news of our latest efforts.

Established in 2002, the Smithfield-Luter Foundation is a non-profit organization that acts as the philanthropic wing of Smithfield Foods, Inc. Since its inception, the Foundation has been proud to provide educational scholarships to the dependent children and grandchildren of full-time and retired employees of Smithfield and its family of companies. In addition, the Foundation helps to fund educational partnerships in the communities where our employees live and work, such as our recent donations to Christopher Newport University and University of Virginia Health System, or our ongoing commitment to the Learners to Leaders alliance.
