The Smithfield-Luter Foundation has granted 74 scholarships to children or grandchildren of current or retired Smithfield employees since its inception in 2002. Together, the scholarships received were worth over $800,000.

 

The students below were selected out of a pool of applicants who applied to Fayetteville State University, Iowa State University, Johnson and Wales, Norfolk State University, Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech), Virginia Union and Wake Forest University. The financial aid office and the admissions office at each school reviewed and selected the winners.

 

The Smithfield-Luter Foundation looks forward to the success of these young students and congratulates these parents, grandparents and children and all future recipients.
